..part of international programme!
Social Enterprise is about using business skills to make a difference. If you want to achieve change in your local community or innovate nationally, then social enterprise is the right thing to do. With this programme, JA-YE Europe will train large numbers of secondary school teachers-both those with experience in entrepreneurship education and those who are just moving into it. The programme will also require networking between all the players on the ground in order to add impact and relevance (from policy, business and social entrepreneurs themselves). Finally, it will invest in the experts, technology tools and overall ‘outreach machinery’ that will achieve reasonable scale and meaningful results.
This programme is also about encouraging young people (age 15-19) to use their social networking skills and digital competence in general to promote their projects. Participating countries in programme are: Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Italy, Norway, Romania, Russia, Great Britain and Serbia. Students will have to work together in order to create a social enterprise idea, collaborate to create their business plan based on social enterprise model and develop their own product of service. They will make market research and promote their product or service, managing their company finances.
Students will compete with other schools in the Social Enterprise Competition. The top 3 teams per country will qualify to the European Competition.
The European Competition will take place online in the month of June/July 2012. and will be held online in English. An international team of judges will review the business plans, the videos and will interview the students via the virtual meeting rooms. The winner will be announced at the end of the competition.
