30 student companies from South-Eastern Serbia (Nis, Leskovac, Vlasotince, Pirot, Kursumlija and Aleksinac) participated in the Regional Student Company Competition held on March 11th in Nis. Around 150 students who are engaged in JAS programs presented their year-long work and competed for their place in the finals.  For the second year in a row, the winner was Student Company Vector Studio from the School of Economics in Nis with a unique product – printing paper smeared with coffee that resembles parchment paper. Together with four runners-up from Kursumlija, Leskovac and Nis, the winners will be traveling to Belgrade in May to compete for the title of national winner and the right to travel to Berlin for the European finals in July. During the competition in Nis, the first certificates were handed out to the students, volunteers and teachers who participated in the Insure Your Success program, jointly implemented for the first time this year by JAS and AXA Insurance.

Jury members at the competition visited all the stands, talked to the students, examined their company reports and decided on the winners. The jury was consisted of: Snezana Stanojevic (Societe Generale Bank Serbia Branch Manager in Nis), Sladjana Ostojic (Director at TV Zona Plus), Mina Stefanovic (PR at ENECA organization and Youth Representative at the Economic Council of the City of Nis), Branko Krsmanovic (owner of the Kupina Film and founder of Young Ambassadors association) and Aleksandar Brzakovic (Youth Office of the City of Nis).

The competition was financed by the American Agency for International Development, Societe Generale Bank Serbia, Centar za razvoj liderstva via Pokreni se za buducnost program, Mercator Group and the City of Nis.
