A seminar for the secondary school teachers, aimed at enabling them to perform lecturing the JA programs - held in Prolom Banja in December 2004. - After successfully accomplishing the first year of its activities, the Junior Achievement in Serbia continues performing its programmed assignments in accordance with the established curriculum throughout the second annual term of its operation. The majority of teachers who have been trained last school year (2003/04) and who started last year lecturing the initial JA program for secondary schools, now are again engaged with the new generation of secondary school beginners. Also, a number of students who have started their student companies have remained associated with JA activities: the group of younger students continue to run their Student companies; several students that enrolled universities have stayed with JAS as assistants; and new teachers are joining the JAS programs.
The Seminar organized in Prolom Banja included a group of new 17 teachers who were directed towards instructing students on the following Junior Achievement subjects: JA Applied Economics; Students' Company; and MESE Computer simulation. Those teachers are teaching students in the following municipalities and/or local communities: Nis, Sokobanja, Prokuplje, Aleksinac i Vlasotince.
The instruction procedures in Prolom Banja for the first two enlisted subjects have been conducted by Ms. Vesna Stoiljkovic, while the third one, related to the topic of MESE -computer simulation in market place environment, has been conducted by Vladimir Vlasic, the JAS MESE Administrator for MESE competitions. The organizational and other professional support has been rendered by Zvonko Brnjas, the JAS Executive Director, as well as by Ivan Mitic, the JAS regional coordinator for the Nis Region; and also by Nenad Mitic and Vucina Miletic, the JAS coordinators.
