The fair was officially opened on Friday after lunch, by the sightseeing tour and a brief presentation of all teams.
Main event was the fair that took place on Saturday and Sunday. Some countries, such as Norway were presented by large number of teams with more then 30 participants.
The fair had side events such as numerous concerts, games, presentations and thematic parties, providing possibility for the teams to present their country, tradition and culture. One of the most interesting part was certainly giving out the awards.
JAS is proud to announce that its team from Leskovac was selected as the most attractive company. Hereby we present a part of the letter that was sent to us from our associate, a teacher Vesna Stojiljković from Leskovac:

Greetings from the team that has just returned from the international Fair in Szeged!

Our participation at the fair has proven to be very successful. Considering we have started out with something brand new to us we have fitted into the program easily.
We were delighted by the fact that in such a short time we have managed to prepare and fulfill all assigned tasks. Being the youngest team, we were given a big applause during delivery of certificates for the participation at the Bridge Fair. Certificates were handed in to all teams whiles our team was also awarded a special certificate as the most attractive and most creative team at the fair. We were also given a big cake which was sweeter then the certificates (naturally…).
The contest itself was a new experience both to teachers and students which was an opportunity to test our knowledge acquired at JA classes. Students had the opportunity to make decisions regarding marketing, sales, price, etc… Students returned home fully motivated to continue with JAS activities after the fair. Tijana is buying a computer, Aleksandar is starting with English lessons, Dusan is starting to design a magazine. What delighted me most is that everyone expressed interest to stay in the program after this school year. The students acquired information from other participants and mostly from representatives of JA Macedonia which exists for 8 years now. Besides the main event there were numerous cultural and entertainment happenings. The hosts made our stay and participation at the fair a unique experience.
JA Hungary exists for 10 years and so far has encompassed 40.000 students of different age. Only in this year they have 10.000 participants. JA program was so far realized in 321 school in 114 towns whiles 5 towns have regional centers.
JA from Leskovac Agricultural School has established UMA company, in November 2003. At the Bridge Fair, UMA representatives presented: their products – small buckets from eco material, their company and the logo. UMA has made a CD with presentation of the company and the products. UMA decorated its stand and it looked very nice. Also, UMA representatives have brought and presented a material from their home town – Leskovac.
Teams from Nis and Majdanpek gave us full support at the Fair. Team from Majdanpek presented the Eco bag, whiles Nis team presented the E-magazine that they designed and made.
All together there were over 25 teams with different products from Denmark, Macedonia, Italy, Hungary, Serbia, etc….
Our participation at the fair was supported by agency NET, private milk farm Glozane and Municipality of Leskovac.
Big regards from all participants in Szeged!
We warmly thank JAS for this opportunity and a future cooperation.
