Junior Achievement in Serbia in Novi Sad (February 16th, 2005 )

Boosting the spread of Junior Achievement program in the Eastern Serbia region: the Seminar aimed at instructing the new group of volunteering high school teachers in Eastern Serbia on how to perform the JA educational programs -held from 10 th to February 13th 2005 in the city of Donji MiIanovac.

Expanding the Junior Achievement program activities into the region of Western Serbia: seminar for high school teachers from this Region has been held in Vrnjačka Banja, Februar 3th-7th, 2005.

The foundation assembly meeting of Junior Achievement in Serbia as a newly established NGO, held in Belgrade on January 27th 2005.

An
official visit to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia,
June 24, 2004
On behalf of the official invitation by the President of the
Republic Assembly, Mr. Predrag Marković, on June 24, 2004, Junior
Achievement in Serbia has organized a visit to the National
Assembly for more then 200 students and 15 teachers. The visit
was organized in a cooperation with high schools from Bor, Majdanpek,
Niš, Aleksinac, Zaječar, Leskovac, Vlasotince, Kikinda and Zrenjanin
and with a support from corresponding Muncipalities. |
Szeged
Bridge Fair - Szeged, Hungary, May 21-24, 2004
In March, 2004. JAS has received an invitation from Junior Achievement
Hungary to participate at the Fair of small entrepreneurs. On
May 21, three teams representing three student companies from
different towns in Serbia were headed for Szeged. |

At the 2nd Annual General Meeting of JA&YE EUROPE, held
on March 18, 2004 in Brussels, Serbia was admitted to JA&YE
EUROPE with ''Observer'' status, for two following years. |
Serbian
High school students ranked 11th in the World in
making business decisions:
Hewlett
Packard Global Business Challenge 2004
The first out of three rounds of this contest which represents
the bigest contest in making business decisions through Internet,
has been finalized. The total of 13 teams out of 26 registered
from Serbia has succeeded to fight a strong competition and
qualify for the second round of the contest. Junior Achievemnt
in Serbia sincerely congratulates its competitors and wishes
them luck in forthcoming rounds! |
| First National
contest in making business decisions through Internet (National
MESE 2004) was launched on March 22 and it will run until
mid June 2004. Number of registered teams has exceeded the expected,
so instead of 100 teams initially planned, there is a total
of 217 registered teams coming from High schools throughout
Serbia. The teams are distributed in 37 virtual markets and
encompass more then 440 students. This fact places National
MESE competition in one of the most attended contests for High
school students in Serbia. |
| Presentation of
JAS activities at Annual Assembly of the European Movement in
Serbia: Activities of Junior Achievemment in Serbia
for the preiod 2003/2004 were presented at Annual Assembly of
the European Movement in Serbia, which took place on March 29,
2004 at a Hall of Stari Grad Municipality. Before more then
150 members and supportetrs of EMinS, JAS representatives have
presented its activities regarding: program implementation in
the regions of SE Serbia and municipalities of Zrenjanin and
Kikinda; World and National contest of High school students
in making business decisions organizad by JA; Addmission of
JAS into European organization Junior Achievement - Young Enterprize
(JA-YE). |
| Presentation of
JA program in Belgrade Chamber of Commerce was held
on March 16, 2004 before the reprsentatives of Belgrade High
schools, governement and non government education related institutions.
The event was organized and moderated by Mr. Duka Samardzic,
Belgrade Chamber of Commerce. JAS program was presented by Mr.
Zika Kovacevic, President, dr Zvonko Brnjas, Executive Director,
Ms Dragana Aleksandric, Program Coordinator and Mr. Nenad Ristic,
Assistant. The participants assesed the program as creative
and necessary and showed great interest in contributing to its
implementation in Belgrade High schools. |
