DEMO MESE (Demo competitions for students in making business deccissions through computer simulation)

Demo competitions for students in making business deccissions through computer simulation (MESE) was held from January 14-17, 2004 in four towns of SE Serbia: Bor, Niš, Vranje and Leskovac. These competitions were organized having in mind the importance of promoting JA programs in public, motivating students that are already in the program, as well as raising interest among other students, and announcing and introducing forthcoming international and national MESE competition.

Event at each town was organized as public event using fascilities of Universities. The aattendees were students and teachers involved in JAS programs, representatives of schools, local authorities, business (local companies, representatives of regional chamber of commerce), local and state television, and CHF local coordinators. Demonstrations were visited by 400 students from 31 school in Bor, Niš, Leskovac, Vranje, Surdulica, Vučje, etc..

During breaks different games were organized which have raised already high atmosphere in the rooms. In an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and desire to win, there were selected best teams who were awarded with prizes.

It could be concluded that demo contests fulfilled the goal since they managed to promote JA progarm and animate students for the grand National contest which will be held in March 2004.
